Intellectual and social capital

The Intellectual and Social Capital tier examines the participation and role of women in business and research communities, showing the societal and intellectual contributions of women in various high-impact fields in the technology and Deep Tech ecosystem. Specifically, this tier focuses on IP held by women, women-led Deep Tech companies, women employed in Tech and Deep Tech, the time taken to raise the first cheque, and any term sheet differentials.

Term sheet differential

Vesting schedule on first raise

Vesting schedules serve as a key indicator in evaluating whether women founders are treated differently from their male counterparts. The vesting period refers to the period over which an equity owner gradually earns the right to exercise their options, while the cliff represents the initial period during which when no options are vested.
